The ADA Dental Health Foundation improves access to dental care for Australians who cannot easily access or afford treatment.
Every day, people across Australia live with pain, infection, difficulty eating and reduced quality of life because essential dental care is beyond their reach. Through a national network of volunteer dentists, community organisations and supporters, the Foundation helps connect vulnerable individuals with life-changing dental treatment.
Established by the Australian Dental Association, the Foundation works to ensure oral health is not determined by financial, social or geographical circumstances

Our mandate
The mandate of the ADA Dental Health Foundation is to improve the dental health of Australians who cannot easily access or afford dental care. We want better access to quality dental care for all Australians regardless of their financial, geographical or social situation.
About ADA Dental Health Foundation
Our programs, outlined within, focus on the delivery of pro bono dental treatment by volunteer dentists to disadvantaged members of the community through referrals from a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation.
The team around Australia coordinates the delivery of pro bono dental treatment to disadvantaged members of the community. The Foundation accepts referrals to the volunteer dental programs for clients who are being supported by a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation. Our volunteer dentists provide their time, expertise and practice facilities at no cost to eligible patients.
The ADA Dental Health Foundation also funds programs that encourage better oral health outcomes and reduce the inequality of access to education within the community through its Community Service Grants, First Nations Study Grants and oral health education projects.
Our programs
The ADA Dental Health Foundation coordinates the delivery of pro bono dental treatment to disadvantaged members of the community through our well-established Volunteer Programs.
Our State Coordinators work with local charities and not for profit organisations to identify clients who will benefit from an improvement in their oral health. We work with a network of dental professionals around the country who volunteer their time, expertise and practice facilities to provide treatment to referred patients.
Through the generosity of our supporters, practitioners are able to access free laboratory services and patients may be referred for specialist treatment.
Dental Rescue Days® (DRD) are held in dental practices, providing a great way for the whole team to be involved in the care of referred patients.
Founded in 2016, the Rebuilding Smiles® program offers treatment to people who have been affected by domestic and/or family violence.
